Lorna safariscome as you are

Travelers come to Kenya for safaris, but it is the people they meet that warm their hearts. We are one of the very few companies that offers tours for people living with disabilities (in wheelchairs, with crutches), together with their companion(s). This includes wheelchair friendly and accessible accommodation, accessible safari vehicles and accessible air travel. Lorna safaris is a tours and travel agency based in Nairobi, Kenya. Each day, we strive to offer not classic safaris, but authentic and unique experiences.

We indulge the seniors in classic safaris which involve fewer destinations, to allow time for relaxation and rest. For each destination, we accommodate you in unique lodges/ tents for a minimum of 2 nights. We also try to cut down the long drives, thus incorporating the fly and drive component.
From luxury lodges and tented camps, we strive to create once in a lifetime experiences

Magical nature and safaris in Kenya

Kenya is indeed a magical place, and our exotic high end luxury packages will have you falling in with nature. Tucked deep inside the wild are exclusive lodges that offers the best of Africa: great views of vast plains and wildlife. You get to watch the sunset form a balloon ride, while on touch down, you’ll be indulged in a champagne breakfast in the middle of the park.

More importantly, our main aim is to create experiences. That is why we involve you in building itineraries. Aside from game drives, we include activities such as: cooking lessons, horse riding, lighting fires, walking safaris, camel riding and interacting with different communities, among others. Let us create lasting memories, together.

Traveling through Kenya

When travelling through Kenya you will learn from its great nature, friendly people and spectacular animals. On safari, either in the Masai Mara or other parks, you try to spot the BIG 5 (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo). There is also another phenomenal activity: the great migration of animals (wildebeests, gazelles and antelopes) crossing the river Mara Kenya). They are following the rain in search of fresh food. Herds of sometimes ten thousands of animals can be observed from the riverside while you are on safari. This rare phenomenon is the worlds’ eighth wonder and you need to be on the right spot at the right time to witness it. The best opportunity to experience the crossing will be by taking a safari with one of our guides.

What others say about us

  • Unforgettable flight safari

My wife and I have been planning to visit Kenia for the annual migration, and we took a 5days/4 nights tour. We read about the “road massage “to Masai mara and we opted for a flight safari instead. We made memories we will never forget.

  • We definitely recommend you to our friends!

Two weeks were clearly not enough to tour Kenya. After visiting Masai mara, Nakuru and Amboseli, we took a few days to just relax and lazy around in Diani. Monica, of Lorna safaris was very prompt and George the guide was awesome. Thank you for the tshirts, they are lovely. We definitely recommend you to our friends!

  • Amazing Lewa experience

One year after our wedding, we planned a tour to Kenya.  We had a few offers but what really intrigued us was a trip to Lewa. It was the best decision ever! The place is so peaceful, vast and beautiful, especially the guided walks. Asante sana Lorna safaris for everything.

  • Asante sana Lorna safaris for organizing everything swiftly

We were looking for an exclusive but manageable tour and after a few searches, Judy suggested a camp in Masai mara. Naserian is indeed a dream come true. Very quiet and ideal, awesome big tents and great food. Moses the guide was very knowledgeable.  The game drives incredible. Asante sana Lorna safaris for organizing everything swiftly.

  • A friend suggested Lorna safaris

Planning to travel for a person on wheelchair is hectic and nerve wrecking. But when a friend suggested we try Lorna safaris, we were willing to try. Finally, we settled on a 6 days tour. Right from the airport, everything seemed easy. The accommodation provided had were fully customized and never once did I feel incapacitated. The open sided jeeps were awesome for game drives. Keep up the good work Lorna, we will spread the word. Asante sana.
